BSS Comment Policy

The previous version of BSS had comments disabled because I didn’t want to have to deal with the daily influx of spam and inane comments. I’ve decided to go a different route with the reboot. Comments are enabled! Huzzah! Now please post something adult, thoughtful, and relevant. Please.

Or you can send me an email at ben@bensmithsolutions.com. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

All comments and letters sent to BSS must be original works and become the property of BSS unless you specifically tell me otherwise (which means I may not post them). This means I can use them how, where, and when I want. I reserve the right to reject or edit comments and letters as I see fit. Inappropriate language and off-topic thoughts will be replaced with “[EDITED]”. Gross spelling and grammatical errors will be fixed so it will easier for your point to get across. It will still be your thoughts but these will be permanent records and I want them to be as useful as possible.

So please share your knowledge, experiences, and thoughts with me and all the other BSS readers. There is a lot we can learn from each other.

Got an idea for an article? Write it up and send it to me!

I’ll be happy to post it on Ben Smith Solutions. Just try to keep it on-topic. Self-reliance, sustainability, environmental issues, emergency preparation, simplicity, and thriftiness are just a few of the topics covered here. Go ahead and send your article if you’re not sure. I won’t bite and I’ll let you know if it isn’t appropriate for this blog.

Be sure to check out the Terms of Use before you send in your article though. I want to make sure everyone is on the same page.

From the above section:

Let me know how you want to be credited in your article. Would you like your full name used or just your initials? Do you have a nickname or “handle” you would like used? Or you can remain anonymous. Are there any links you want included? It’s completely up to you.

Finally, I want to stress that your email and personal information will NEVER be sold or disseminated in any way. I value my privacy and I know you do to.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
